August, 2006 - Jack M. Portney, CPA and Mary Lou Portney attend a three day seminar in Atlantic City, New Jersey on aggressive tax planning, tax law changes for 2005 tax year. November, 2005 Portney & Company, CPA's successfully participated in the state's Peer Review Program which is designed to demonstrate that a certified public accounting firm provides quality accounting services to the client, public, and others in accordance with the standards of the profession. The financial statements examined are those that constitute a major portion of the practitioner's time. A successful peer review is a measure of excellence.
